Course Description: Students will use scientific processes to study characteristics and mathematical relationships between energy and matter, atomic theory and structure, chemical reactions, gas laws and properties of solutions including acids and bases.
INTEGRATED PHYSICS AND CHEMISTRY (IPC)

Topics include the mathematical relationships between forces, motion, and energy, and the structures and properties of matter with an emphasis on application in everyday life.

Course Description: Students will use scientific processes to study the characteristics and mathematical relationships between forces, motion, and energy. Topics include conservation of energy and momentum, characteristics and properties of waves, and nuclear and quantum phenomena.
EARTH AND SPACE SCIENCE
GRADE LEVEL: 11-12 CREDIT: 1 TX ID: 03060200 PREREQUISITE(S): Completion of three units of science, one may be taken concurrently, and three units of math, one may be taken concurrently. Course Description: Students will use scientific processes to study earth science and astronomy topics. The student will learn basic concepts of Earth’s system in space and time. Topics include weather, rocks and minerals, historical geology, plate tectonics, celestial bodies, planet evolution and basic motions of the Earth.
ENVIRONMENTAL SYSTEMS
GRADE LEVEL: 11, 12 CREDIT: 1 TX ID: 3020000 PREREQUISITE(S): Completion of one year of Biology, and one unit of physical science. Course Description: Students will use field investigations, critical thinking and scientific processes to study a variety of topics. The student will learn about biotic and abiotic factors in habitats, ecosystems and biomes, flow of energy, carrying capacity and changes in populations.
