Meet Our Principal

Anastasia Mirelez

Anastasia Mirelez is the Principal at Manor Excel Academy.

Ms. Mirelez was born and raised in Ohio. She has been in education since she was 19 years old starting as a Teacher's Aide in Alief ISD, Houston. She taught junior high Math for 8 years while living in Galveston, Texas, becoming a coordinator and teacher for at-risk 8th graders in Dickinson ISD.
 
When she made the best decision of her career and joined the Manor ISD family in 2021 she served as the Director of Truancy Prevention. This is her first year as principal at Manor Excel Academy/Manor Alternative Placement. 
 
She received a Bachelor of Liberal Arts degree in Maritime Studies from Texas A&M University, and a Masters in Educational Leadership from Lamar University. She is passionate about serving ALL scholars and meeting them where they are in life. Her focus is to give students and staff of all ages the support and flexibility they need to reach their educational goals.

La Sra. Mirelez nació y creció en Ohio. Ella ha estado en educación desde que tenía 19 años comenzando como asistente de maestra en Alief ISD, Houston.
